Even moms are getting hooked with new games like Farmville. This mom is so hooked on the Facebook game Farmville, she plays it on four different computer at once. Gotta harvest those crops.

Aturan Larangan Kata Facebook dan Twitter di Prancis

Pemerintah Prancis mengumumkan peraturan yang melarang kata ‘Facebook’ dan ‘Twitter’ dilafalkan di televisi atau radio. Aturan tersebut didasarkan atas sebuah dekrit tahun 1992 yang melarang nama perusahaan komersial dipromosikan dalam acara berita. Dilansir Antara, karena aturan baru tersebut para pembaca berita di televisi Prancis kini dilarang menyebut Facebook dan Twitter kecuali dua nama media sosial itu sangat penting atau berkaitan erat dengan berita yang ditayangkan.

Dilarang sebut kata Facebook dan Twitter di TV Perancis

Sayangnya kebijakan baru itu berimplikasi lebih jauh. Akibat penetapan itu stasiun televisi atau radio Prancis kini tidak bisa lagi meminta para pemirsa setianya untuk, misalnya, mem-’follow’ mereka di Twitter. Lebih jauh lagi, kebijakan itu membatasi stasiun televisi dan radio Prancis mendulang para pemirsa online, satu kecendrungan yang kian penting di dunia telekomunikasi dewasa ini yang identik dengan kecepatan dan sifatnya yang interaktif.

Christine Kelly, juru bicara France’s Conseil Supérieur de l’Audiovisuel (CSA), sebuah lembaga pengawas penyiaran Prancis, penetapan aturan baru itu sudah tepat. “Mengapa hanya mencekal Facebook, yang bernilai miliaran dolar, padahal banyak jejaring sosial baru yang sedang berjuang untuk dikenal,” tanyanya.
“Ini hanya tentang persaingan yang sehat. Jika kita membiarkan Twitter dan Facebook disebutkan dalam siaran, itu seperti membuka kotak Pandora. Jejaring sosial lain akan mengeluh, ‘mengapa bukan kami?’,”katanya
