As Sharon is placed under arrest at the barn dance, Piper screams at her father. Lee rapidly explains the situation. Sam shakes his head, saying there was so much that didn’t make sense. Sharon tells Sam she’s sorry as she’s led away.

When Noah arrives to pick up Faith from Ashley at Crimson Lights, both are shocked when they see breaking news on the television with Sharon's picture. Back at Restless Style, Nick and Phyllis both receive calls informing them that Sharon Newman was found in New Mexico and was arrested. After ejecting the restored memory card that reveals Sharon's innocence from his computer, Adam clicks onto his homepage and is overjoyed at the news that Sharon was found alive.

Jack is in his office when Victor appears looking for Ashley, saying he thought she would have ousted him by now. Jack says he’s not worried about his future there. Just then, Jack sees the news about Sharon on his computer. Victor takes a call from Michael and tells Jack that Sharon will be in Genoa City in the morning.

Phyllis arrives at the Police station and beelines for Spencer to get any information regarding Sharon's hideout in New Mexico. Spencer replies that he knows nothing but Phyllis continues to pry, asking if Sharon resisted arrest. Spencer calls out to an officer to have Phyllis escorted out of the precinct. Just as Phyllis begins to exit, Sharon arrives and the two women lock eyes.

Adam arrives at the precinct just as Phyllis is exiting. Phyllis begins to interrogate Adam, insinuating that Adam must have known Sharon was in hiding considering that he helped her escape. Phyllis reminds Adam that unless he can retrieve new evidence to prove Sharon's innocence, Sharon's new home will be a cell.

Michael advises Victor that he should avoid any involvement in Sharon's case in an effort to shield Newman Enterprises from any negative attention.

Jack comes into Restless Style and is surprised to see that Phyllis is there. She says Nick hired her. Jack says they're both back where they belong. Jack hints at whether Phyllis is seeing Nick and she tells him to stop. He tells her about the new Jabot line. 

Noah arrives as Jack is leaving. Noah tells Phyllis he came to see about getting his friend a job. She asks about the ceremony in the park for his mother. Hunter arrives and Phyllis talks to her about the magazine. Hunter is thrilled that Noah is helping her get an internship.

At the coffeehouse, Ashley is playing with Faith. Nick gets a call from the babysitter, who is canceling, and Ashley offers to fill in. Nick realizes that Faith's yellow blanket is missing and goes to find it.

At the bridge, Adam holds Faith's yellow blanket and looks up at the stars. Nick appears and is upset that Adam obviously followed them and watched the ceremony.

Adam tells him that what they said about Sharon was beautiful. Nick tells him if it weren't for him, there wouldn't have been ashes to scatter. Nick rants about Adam having no right to be there. Adam thinks that Nick is riled because Sharon ran from marrying him - and ran straight to him. She chose him, and Nick can't live with that. They continue to bicker.

Adam accuses Nick of cooking up another hatchet job on him in the magazine, which will also hurt Sharon's memory, while he fights to prove Sharon's innocence. Nick tells him it's a waste of time. When they're both gone, Noah shows up with Hunter. He says this is where they scattered his mom's ashes, but he didn't really say goodbye. Hunter says maybe he needs time alone to try again. Noah stands alone looking over the water.

Adam meets with Emmett, who is trying to restore the video of Sharon helping Skye in the volcano. After a few tries, Adam is ecstatic to hear Sharon's voice say, "Give me your other hand." Adam thanks Emmett for his help and is happy to now have proof of Sharon's innocence.

Michael warns Victor that Sharon's situation could have an adverse effect on his company.
